The OLID Program has been the most dynamic position I have held thus far. My current rotation allows me to bring my supply chain textbooks to life! I have become a “human sponge,” learning from both my mentors and co-workers who always share their invaluable industry knowledge. There’s so much to learn and I can always count on a full day’s work to teach me something new. My days consist of learning the functional tasks in each warehouse department, gathering data for special projects, participating in warehouse audits, interviewing for selectors and much more. I have volunteered in several community service events as well such as Pumpkin Fest held in October. At a 24/7 operation there is never a dull moment and that adds to the excitement of my position. I was lucky to have the opportunity to intern at C&S Wholesale Grocers in the Corporate Tax department. At C&S, my ideas became a reality and my input really mattered. The company is constantly growing but still manages to put its employees first. The internship program gave me the opportunity to really test the waters of my field and network with experienced business professionals. I had valuable experiences such as presenting in front of management, assisting in a software implementation and conducting research on the incentives of building a data center in Pennsylvania. I have become more detail oriented, information technology driven and affluent in the food industry and my peers, supervisors and co-workers were extremely supportive along the way! "
