C&S has provided me a unique opportunity to apply both my St. Joseph’s Food Marketing education and my prior work experience, to my job here as an Associate Buyer. In just the past six months, I have trained and worked in Procurement, but also have had the chance to travel up to corporate headquarters in Keene, NH to learn the demand planning side of the business as well. I am now responsible for my own vendor lines that service one of our largest customers. Being able to learn both sides of procurement has not only given me a special appreciation, but has allowed me to do my job that much better. C&S truly invests in their employees. And just like St. Joe’s provides all the tools to exceed in life after college, C&S equips you with the environment and knowledgeable support to excel each and every day in the office. "

I joined C&S a year and a half ago as an analyst for Vendor and Transportation Supply Chain. Being part of a newer group at C&S presented some unique challenges early on. I work very closely with vendors like Kellogg’s, Purina Pet Care and General Mills to help find and eliminate inefficiencies in our combined supply chain. In addition, I work internally to help drive millions of dollars in excess inventory out of the company. I am also part of a team designing and implementing a web portal for our vendors to use. It has been a very rewarding experience to grow with the department and see my hard work pay off. I have come a long way in a short amount of time and it has been an incredible journey thus far, but I have a feeling that it is just the beginning. "
