Position Overview

As a Sr Manager HR Business Partner you will be responsible for providing strategic support to the business and an HR team. You will be responsible for defining business requirements, and developing and executing a human resource plan that is aligned to the business strategy and organizational goals. You will be responsible for managing a team of HR Business Partners and providing guidance and support.

The Sr Manager HR Business Partner works both strategically and hands-on, as needed to deliver results for the business/functional groups. The Sr. Manager HR Business Partner engages the resources of the broader HR organization to enable the execution of this strategy, including leveraging the functional expertise and resources of the Centers of Expertise (COE’s) and HR Operations Center. In this role, the primary area of responsibility will be Warehouse and Transportation with some office staff support.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusting positive relationships with all levels

  • Identify, develop and implement HR programs that support the business objectives and key performance priorities of the organization.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on any people, organizational, or capability implications of our business strategy

  • Coach and advise leaders on talent development and performance management.

  • Drive key HR initiatives including talent management, succession planning, performance management and salary reviews

  • Work strategically and in partnership with the business to develop and implement focused workforce strategies ensuring alignment with both business and HR objectives.

  • Identify key business trends and work in partnership with HR cross functional resources to develop solutions, programs and policies to aid in achievement of organizational goals.

  • Ability to identify training needs and gaps, assist with training development and facilitation of training (adhoc skill builders or formal classroom)

  • Oversight of new hire orientation onboarding

  • Oversight of Community Involvement Initiatives

  • Play a critical role in imbedding a talent management mindset and executing a talent agenda that aligns with critical business priorities

  • Participate in annual talent review process and partner with business leadership and COE’s to create Individual Development Plans and functional talent review action plans.

  • Lead and develop an HR team

  • Some travel will be required

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in related field prefferred; PHR, SPHR preferred

  • 8+ years of HR experience preferred; 2+ years managing others preferred

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish; preferred

  • Warehousing/ Transportation support experience

  • Working knowledge of HR related laws/regulations

  • Ability to establish credibility at all levels within the organization

  • Strong internal and external customer service focus

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization

  • Ability to influence and drive change

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
