Log books, vehicle condition reports)Drive tractor trailer to destination following company prescribed directionsUnload or unhook trailer at store locationUse straps, bars, and/or dunnage to secure loads between stops Wash and clean tractor and trailer as neededFollow all safety policies and company guidelinesAdhere to all DOT, and PUCO rules and regulationsOperate manual/electric pallet jacks on varying surfaces, pitches, slopes and elevations. In this job you will assist a ‘Class A’ Fleet Mechanic to diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul fleet vehicles (tractor/trailer) and perform preventative maintenance. This program is designed to provide on the job training for recent graduates or those pursuing a vocational training certification. A Driver/Dispatch Supervisor will dispatch loads and communicate to the drivers any special instructions for each dispatch, inform Transportation Management of any issues expressed or created by drivers, and ensure that all loads dispatch on time, with the appropriate paperwork complete and accompanying the driver for each load.
