Position Overview

As a Fleet Maintenance Asset Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining complete & accurate master asset data in the asset management software. You will work closely with the field maintenance teams and the finance team to ensure compliance with national contracts and weekly financial reporting. You will collaborate with the strategic sourcing team to leverage national asset replacement strategies and warranty recovery initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Systems:

  • Configure and maintain all unit master life cycle specifications in the asset management system

  • Configure all preventative maintenance (PM) schedules

  • Coordinate all registration and license plate renewal and recording

  • Maintain meter configuration

  • Configure basic OEM warranty

  • Configure relevant component specs (Extended Warranty)

  • Update title, purchase & lease information

  • Financial:

  • Collaborate with finance team to ensure proper fixed asset and serial numbers are recorded

  • Coordinate equipment domiciles with finance teams

  • Setup new part & service supply vendors in conjunction with the accounts payable team to ensure proper translation to the Oracle accounting system

  • Analytics:

  • Participate in strategic sourcing activities by supplying data needed to initiate RFP process

  • Report and manage various fleet KPI measurements to ensure accuracy and up time

  • Orbcomm satellite tracking – system configuration, geofence maintenance, GPS health management

  • Actively seek system and process improvements

  • Training:

  • Support implementation at new locations

  • Work closely with end users to address issues & updates

  • Create training materials and documentation of configuration & process changes

  • Other Supporting Systems:

  • Manage the Driver Alert account, provide results and feedback to transportation operations teams.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school education required. Associates degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or Related Fields preferred

  • Experience: Asset management, licensing, registration and title work. Insurance experience or vehicle maintenance experience.

  • Vehicle maintenance systems, commercial truck components, D.O.T. repair regulations

  • Microsoft Excel plus strong analytical and organization skills. High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to travel 10%-15% to other locations to support company initiatives.
