As the Manager of HR Technology , you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of analyst and engineer resources that develop and maintain each of the HR business applications used by all C&S employees. This role ensures the flow of requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment of system changes remains consistent and fluid.
Leads the HRIS team and project-related peer groups from various departments by providing direction and oversight of HR systems projects
Oversee requirements gathering, testing, and development activities for all HR technology systems, including break/fix, security changes, and software development lifecycle
Manage third party support vendors and their associated stream of support and project development activities
Provide day to day supervision and management to the HR analyst and engineering teams, including goals, training and certification tracks, and general resource availability
Participate in trainings and strategy sessions as required
The Successful candidate will also have the following:
Has strong understanding of HR business processes such as recruiting, hiring, benefits enrollment, merit, and termination
Has strong understanding of legal and financial requirements related to HR, such as state/federal laws or union negotiation terms
Demonstrates HRIS or HR-Systems Operational leadership abilities, with oversight of software enhancements, companywide workflow processes, and bug fixes
Has exceptional technical writing skills; serves as coach and mentor for draft requirements documentation
Acts as testing lead and chief project manager for all system enhancement projects
Has strong management experience of an Application Support Engineering Team to manage high level incidents, document and share root cause analysis knowledge within the IT, HR, and finance Organizations
Responsible for resolution of business application high priority incidents, problem management, and major incident communications with business owners
Has strong attention to detail; clarifies ambiguity and can separate details into clear requirements and/or vision statements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Process Management, Human Resources, Finance, Statistics or other business-related discipline
Certification in a thought leadership or workshop management course such as Dale Carnegie, John Maxwell, BPM, or Six Sigma preferred
Minimum of 2 years of management/leadership experience in Workday or similar HRIS operations
3-5 years of experience overseeing software development lifecycle teams and projects
3-5 years of experience developing ROI, strategy, and technology initiatives
3-5 years of experience working as a project or program manager
