Position Overview

The individual will act as a Subject Matter Expert in architecting solutions in the Workforce Management space. The Workforce and Labor Management Team is seeking a highly skilled WFM Engineer/Architect, working with functional and technical teams including data architects and application developers designing solutions that are consistent with the enterprise architecture. In that capacity, the individual must be able to assist in high-level design required for the solution (including infrastructure, application, and business inputs) and participate in the development of technically challenging portions of the solution. This position is also challenged with maintaining a broader focus during solution design so that each solution can contribute to and share from a core service-oriented architecture.


Workbrain experience would be an added benefit; however, Workforce, Time and Labor Management industry experience may be a considered if the candidate does not have in-depth experience in Workbrain. Should have experience with architectural aspects including capacity planning, performance management, and application scaling. Experience with implementing & maintaining warehouse incentive programs highly desirable.

The Sr. Solution Architect will partner with business stakeholders and required resources, as well as external vendors and consulting partners, to help determine best-in-class enterprise implementation by internal application development and operations standards. The specific duties will include:

• Work closely with end users & cross functional teams to implement system projects, including the development of functional designs, testing plans and deliverables in the Work Force applications portfolio.

• Design and develop end to end technical solution for the assigned business requirement

• Collaborate with cross functional leads and provide work leadership to other members on staff in all aspects of application development including analysis techniques, design, engineering, tuning, testing, debugging, documentation standards, change management, release management, file design, storage and internal applications.

• Provide functional, technical input, and analysts including, setting priorities, providing Proof of Concepts, coaching, reviewing work products.

• Provide strong technical leadership, managing hands-on development in the Work Force Management landscape.

• Providing Industry best practices and proof of concepts on latest technology trends.

• Monitoring compliance with statements of policies and procedures to assure that proper documentation is maintained and that the required quality controls are implemented.

• Coordinating and mentoring team members and consultants assigned to projects or support activities. Reviewing deliverables and adherence to SDLC and policies by third party resources.

• Providing day-to-day technical leadership and ensuring stable systems availability, performance, compliance and security.

• Solve data relationship problems, often by designing processes and data structures to ensure data integrity across applications. The solutions need to be robust enough to support company growth and changing business priorities.

• Solve problems in response to business questions/problems. Frequent research of job schedules and program logic are methods to solve many of these types of questions.

• Engineer and develop high complexity and high volume, scalable applications.

• Solve data relationship problems, often by designing processes and data structures to ensure data integrity across applications.

• Interpret and translate business specifications into technical specifications.

• Make technical recommendations on designs as well as technical improvements.

• Create and/or update user and applications documentation.

• Participate in on-call rotation and assist Functional Analysts in troubleshooting and resolving issues.

• Support and develop solutions for Infor Workbrain modules.

• Develop PL/SQL database objects, SQL scripts, Interfaces, Reports, Forms.

• Code and unit test Workbrain Application customizations across production support, enhancements and projects.

• Troubleshoot Workbrain application problems and work with Infor Support as necessary to resolve them.

• Manage service level agreements (SLAs) protocol for production issue resolution.


• Masters or Bachelors degree (or foreign degree equivalent) with at least five years of relevant work experience.

• Must have an in-depth understanding of business process flows, strong analytical skills, and have executed several Workforce, Time and Labor Management upgrade and/or implementations.

• 5 years of experience in application development and support.

• Required experience should include 5 years of design and development on a Time & Attendance platform.

• 5 years of design and development of Java, Javascript, JSP, J2EE, PL/SQL, SQL components.
