Position Overview

As a Natural, Organic and Speciality Merchandising Analyst, your role is to negotiate product offerings, sales/ad programs and gross profit opportunities to maximize sales in the Hispanic category.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and execute product selection and promotional programs with Hispanic vendors to grow sales in the Hispanic business segment. To include ads, food show & group buys.

  • Negotiate gross profit buying opportunities with vendor (buys/slotting/DPS/etc.) while maximizing bill out inventory profit (last buys before increases/bracket buys/alternate sourcing).

  • Manage proper execution of reconciliation of vendor incentives. (Quarterly, monthly, prepay, OI) in order to ensure accuracy and proper timeliness from vendor community.

  • Setup and Maintain item and vendor data integrity (pricing/item accuracy/item changes/item assortment/category marketing info/lost margin resolution).

  • Interface with outside C&S departments as well as retail customers for resolutions, IMS-Vendor relations and Prompt- AVS resolutions.

  • Study and anticipation of commodity changes to maximize revenues Assist vendors and buyers with dead and excess inventory resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience

  • Two years' related industry experience (wholesale or retail); Hispanic commodity experience required

  • Basic computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills

  • Negotiation, organization, prioritization, and problem solving skills
