Position Overview

As a Director, Human Resources Business Partner , you will be responsible for providing strategic support to senior leaders in the business. You will be responsible for providing HR Consulting and problem-solving solutions to the business. You will define business requirements and develop and execute a human resource plan that is aligned to the business strategy and organizational goals.

You will work both strategically and hands-on to deliver results for the business/functional groups. An HR Business Partner engages the resources of the broader HR organization to enable the execution of this strategy, including leveraging the functional expertise and resources of the Centers of Expertise (COE’s) and HR Operations Center. NOTE: This will be especially important in this role given the status of ES3 as a separate subsidiary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the people strategy to execute business priorities and goals. Identify, develop and implement HR programs that support the business objectives and key performance priorities of the broad organization

  • Partnering with senior-level leaders, serve as a trusted advisor on any people, organizational, or capability implications of our business strategy

  • Coach and advise senior leaders on talent development and performance management

  • Drive key HR initiatives including talent management, training, succession planning, performance management, and salary reviews

  • Work strategically and in partnership with the business to develop and implement focused workforce strategies ensuring alignment with both business and HR objectives

  • Identify key business trends and work in partnership with HR cross-functional resources to develop solutions, programs and policies to aid in achievement of organizational goals

  • Play a critical role in embedding a talent management mindset and executing a talent agenda that aligns with critical business priorities

  • Participate in the annual talent review process and partner with business leadership and COE’s to create Individual Development Plans and functional talent review action plans

  • Lead the Continuous Improvement (CI) initiative for the Education & Skills for Engagement (ESE) Pillar including a Team of System Owners for Communications, Recognition & Reward, Training & Development, Knowledge Sharing/One Point Lessons (OPLs), and Change Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 10+ years of Human Resources experience; PHR, SPHR preferred

  • Working knowledge of Human Resources related laws & regulations

  • Training & experience in applying the methods & tools of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM), or Continuous Improvement (CI).

  • Training & experience in Labor Relations Management including administration of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs), Grievances and Arbitrations.

  • Demonstrated ability influencing the business strategy and shaping HR strategic direction

  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to establish credibility and influence a broad range of people at all levels within the organization

  • Strong internal and external customer service focus

  • Drive to deliver outstanding results across the organization

  • Effective communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively across divisions, functions and levels

  • Highly developed project management, analytical and organizational abilities; ability to use data to inform insights

  • Ability to identify and handle priority and/or sensitive issues with discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality

  • Experience leading and coaching a team of direct and indirect reports
