Job Profile Summary
As a Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for spearheading research, development, and implementation of next-gen ML and AI algorithms across multiple teams to build innovative technologies and products to solve the company's most complex problems. You will deliver analytics and algorithms pertaining to driving inventory profitability and to identify and take action on pertinent opportunities. You will be responsible for continuously improving the statistical forecasting process at C&S through the use of advanced techniques, processes and technology. Driving profitability through better inventory management is a key priority and is seen as a major source of value generation at all levels of the company; $25 billion worth of material flows through the C&S network every year. In this role, you will provide guidance, insights and statistics to the Information Technology, Demand Planning and Procurement teams. Your will build, test, and automate algorithms and processes, while building and incorporating the right feedback loops with different stakeholders for humans to add value where needed. You will contribute to the road-map of our best practice and core capabilities and be key in the development of the best in class machine learning process. You are expected to be a completely hands on, self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-aced and ever-changing environment and a desire to help share the overall business strategy.
Work with Information Technology, Procurement, Operations, and Supply Chain Integration to build effective cross-functional processes and systems/tools to highlight opportunities to improve forecast accuracy.
Use machine learning to prototype data science solutions that will drive an improved experience for buyers and sellers.
Develop diagnostics and metrics to monitor performance and enable demand planners to identify performance issues through advanced statistical techniques.
Hands-on data science, data mining, machine learning system expertise to ensure proper development, implementation & issue resolution.
Ensure that the requirements and change requests are well understood, documented, developed, tested, and maintained.
Mentor and provide guidance to project team in technical and functional subject areas for successful project/product delivery.
