Position Overview

The Vice President, Change Management and Communication will provide strategic leadership to a team of Human Resources professionals focused on change management and communications initiatives in a high energy, fast-paced environment. This includes the creation of and execution of an organizational change management process. It also includes overseeing communications and engagement with the company's nationwide team of associates, community relations and philanthropy, supporting executive visibility and managing change communications related to our corporate offices and warehouse facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to our CEO & CCO to align organizational and communications strategy to drive the C&S Strategic Growth Plan, as well as other key company objectives.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to our CHRO to align communications & change management framework to cultivate organization change in order to achieve business goals and align our workforce on our Values.

  • Direct the design, development, implementation, and administration ofa clear and consistent organizational change management philosophy and framework.

  • Partner with stakeholders on the execution of their organizational change management plans, in alignment with global framework; devising strategies to counter resistance and align stakeholders to the overall strategic direction of the organization.

  • Using a variety of communication vehicles, this position will partner across the enterprise to create, implement, and manage internal communications programs that support change management and transformation initiatives, including strategic planning, promote two-way dialogue and connect employees to one another and to C&S.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to our Community Relations team and help develop our corporate philanthropy strategy.

  • Develop internal and external speeches/presentations for senior-level executives, including our CEO.

  • Develop and execute surveys and focus groups to measure internal communications progress and opportunities.

  • Implement proactive internal change management & communications plans around large scale internal corporate events, i.e. organization announcements, M&A activity.

  • Create corporate communication plans for employee recognition, facility news, and local/facility community engagement.

  • Provide leadership and guidance on key internal meetings, including Company All-Hands, leadership meetings, Board of Director, special events, etc.

  • Manage media opportunities and inquires; act as company spokesperson with media as appropriate.

  • Develop and execute surveys and focus groups to measure internal communications progress and opportunities.

  • Review and analyze data to measure the effectiveness, impact, and engagement of communications programs and special projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or other related field. MS/MBA preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years’ related experience

  • Diversified Human Resources background with deep understanding of change management and best in class internal communications processes

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and achieve strategic goals

  • Solid foundation in the analysis, understanding, and knowledge of business financials

  • Expert communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Strong management skills and ability to provide leadership to team

  • Ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships across the organization
