Position Overview

As an Inventory Control/Quality Assurance Systems Analyst, this role is responsible for supporting inventory control and management of code life, quality of outbound product shipments and customer claims resolution functions by and implementing processes, procedures and reporting by leveraging multiple technologies such as SQL, Microsoft, Oracle, Teradata, Hyperion Smart View and Alteryx etc. These activities are focused on driving inventory accuracy and quality enhancements in support of the improving the customer experience. This role partners with customers and internal stakeholders to improve product and delivery quality, credit resolution and prevention, and increase business. The Analyst ensures the completeness and accuracy of, and compliance with warehousing and transportation standard operating procedures. This role is responsible for the research, compilation and presentation of inventory analysis using data science and continuous improvement methodologies, to drive improvements in inventory quality, customer experience and minimize inventory loss.

Description

  • Access data from multiple sources and feed info SQL data bases to allow for analytical research. SQL server activities such as creating stored procedures, joins, views, tables, triggers, functions, indexes, creating security, creating services catalogs, SQL agent jobs, creating entire SQL server database structure, very good with data warehousing concepts. Build automated reporting in support of Analyst team

  • Use visual studio tool to create web, windows applications, ETL process, and SSRS reports. Leveraging Excel, Oracle, Teradata and CSV files etc.

  • Develop, maintain and deliver recurring and ad hoc inventory reporting and analysis to senior leadership, including gather information from various internal and external sources (including disparate internal systems/datasets), including meeting with operational groups, IT, reporting & applied analysis team, facility based inventory/quality groups. Coordinate design and development of testing to substantiate findings. Develop understandable and actionable analysis, and written recommendation. Provide follow-up guidance on how to extract and/or interpret information to IT and other stakeholders as necessary to enable implementation. Measure ongoing effectiveness of implemented recommendations, including monitor ongoing usage of analysis, adjust content/frequency/recipients as necessary and assess compliance with new process

  • Attend recurring meetings with operational and field inventory/quality teams to identify issues

  • Make periodic field visits as necessary to fully understand facility processes, build business relationships, monitor implemented programs

  • Document all procedures

  • Provide education and guidance to analysts and representatives in reporting & applied analysis team

Skills

  • Special Skills : Demonstrated proficiency in Excel: experience with financial systems and software (e.g. SQL, SSIS, R, Oracle, Teradata, MS-Access, Smart View (Hyperion), Qlikview, SSIS, Minitab) preferred

  • 2-5 : Applicable experience, including statistical experience.
