The Sr. Manager, Retail Pricing leads multiple division-level teams of retail pricing professionals providing leading-edge retail pricing services and solutions for all C&S customers in the divisions. He/she is responsible for establishing, implementing and monitoring the divisions' retail pricing strategies and services to better position the retail customers to maximize gross profits and competitiveness. The Sr. Manager, Retail Pricing works with other leaders within the Customer Experience Team (CXT) and other company associates to demonstrate The C&S Way and the Company's Values, execute the Company's Strategic Objectives, and continually elevate the Customer Experience.
Evaluate store-specific retail pricing and existing strategies on a regular basis to ensure timeliness of category competitiveness and profit posturing, implementing changes as appropriate. Store-specific retail pricing needs to maintain and balance gross profit and competitiveness.
Examine the current retail pricing structure and reporting needs to identify gaps and opportunities.
Monitor competitive data for completeness, data accuracy/integrity and significant shifts in competitive retail pricing postures and recommend appropriate response.
Train and support retail customers in the understanding and use of all strategic retail pricing applications and reporting.
Participate in the implementation of new store setups and validate accuracy of setup once project completed.
Analyze retail customer supplied private brand gap to national brands in conjunction with the Private Brands team. Assist in identifying cost of goods issues which would affect the retail and gross profit of the item as it compares to the national brand.
Provide work direction, supervision, training and performance appraisals to staff to achieve performance expectations.
Work closely with Merchandising teams. Organize and project weekly ad promotional plans in conjunction with Merchandising in order to maximize sales and gross profits for the retail customers. Participate in ad group meetings to discuss circular layouts and specialty ad pricing. Then implement the finalized ad pricing in the retail pricing software.
Travel Required: Yes
Specialized Knowledge : Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; 3rd-party pricing applications
