As a Sales Merchandiser, you will be responsible for all Retail sales and merchandising events in an assigned territory, including but not limited to developing and implementing agreed upon Marketing Plans which will meet business goals of expanding the customer base in the designated market area. Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
Seeks out new customers to increase sales and customer base.
This individual is the liaison between our company and our retailers. Build working relationship with retailers. Understand the obstacles and challenges from both sides in order to resolve issue and find solutions.
Weekly store visits to places retailer orders.
Tracks customer’s inventory and usage to maintain proper inventory.
Insures all authorized items are on the shelves
Weekly store visits to merchandise retailer orders. Checks in products delivered to the retailer, merchandise the back stock, rotates product, clean and organize store shelves while merchandising load, works on shortages, informs customer on shorts, finds substitution products as needed, places orders for substitutes,.
Responsible for store resets and product display.
Process damages and returns with customer.
Coordinate and facilitate scheduling and delivery issues. Work together with logistics to establish and adjust schedules particular for seasonal and holiday changes.
Delivers products to customers as needed
Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with safety equipment provided and/or established safety requirements. Is responsible for obeying all safety rules, maintains clean work area and immediately reports accidents, injury and/or unsafe working conditions to supervisor.
Safely operates all equipment. Safety is a condition of employment with C&S.
Performs other related duties as assigned. (i.e. operations support)
Insures compliance with state and federal laws, rules and regulations, to include but not limited to OSHA, Department of Transportation, Agriculture, Labor, Department of Health, etc.
High school diploma or GED, some college preferred
MS Office experience – Word, Excel, Outlook are required, AS400 preferred.
Minimum of 2 years office/administrative experience
Previous experience in Purchasing or as a buyer assistant preferred
Ability to work independently, as well as a part of a team
Must possess excellent customer services skills
