The Director, Retail Development leads a national team of Retail Development professionals throughout the United States providing industry-leading store equipment, design, pharmacy, and other store development programs. Research and incorporate new programs and services to the department to help the independent retailers we service prosper and grow. Assist the team working with independent supermarket owners to enhance retail capabilities of their store through upgrading the facilities to maintain competitiveness in the marketplace. The Sr. Director, Retail Development works with other leaders within the Commercial team and the Company's Senior Leadership to demonstrate The C&S Way and the Company's Values, execute the Company's Strategic Objectives, and continually elevate the Customer Experience.
Management – Supervise and manage regional Retail Development Directors and/or Sr. Manager including Pharmacy for the company in all regions.
Financial – Prepare the Retail Development sales and profit budget for the department.
Programs and Services – Research and incorporate new programs and services to enhance our benefits and value to the retailers.
Customer Experience – Actively promote Retail Development Services and Programs to the retailers to help reduce costs and improve retail operations, profitability and customer appeal.
Individual Development – Foster the development of retail development associates knowledge of programs and services, store equipment, refrigeration systems, HVAC systems, decor and lighting, construction methods and procedures.
Leadership & Strategy – Attend regional sales meetings, retailer meetings, Trade Shows and Expos to educate sales associates and retailers on the benefits of Retail Development Services and Programs to enhance retail operations and performance.
Specialized Knowledge : Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, retail store operations.
Special Skills : Sales ability to cold call and sell products and services
