Position Overview

The HR Systems Analyst is responsible for day to day oversight of one or more modules within the HR software application suite; is responsible for quality and integrity of the HRIS database in their functional area; maintains the configuration of the system; provides technical support to Human Resources and other application consumers; develops and deploys technical designs and test plans for system improvements; develops auditing tools for HR Operations to monitor business activity and transaction health

Responsibilities

  • Has experienced understanding of the C&S HR Information Systems (HRIS) across one or more workstreams/modules and owns the module-specific health and integrity of HRIS data quality

  • Has strong analytical skills and ability to use the results to make recommendations regarding configuration changes

  • Conducts independent analytical exercises; explores ideas and identifies clear pros and cons of any proposed solution; Leads business users in collaborative thinking, remains focused on the business outcome and end user experience impact

  • Strong presentation skills, presents well and develops intelligible written and verbal presentations that contain in-depth technical content

  • Delivers calm and confident presentations of technology solutions to peers and management; tailors the message to the audience and drives for clear decision making

  • Proficient at developing queries (reports) in order to transform data to information, information to knowledge and knowledge into decision making support

  • Serves as testing lead and leads others to clarify ambiguity; can parse details into clear requirements and/or permutations for testing

  • Interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills for providing knowledge to end users, management and consultants

  • Discretion when working with sensitive data such as compensation or employee personal data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science

  • Equivalent vendor/industry certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt, Microsoft MCTS (Office Products), or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)

  • 3-5 years recent experience with an HRMS system such as Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, Lawson, etc.

  • 1-3 years of experience as an IT analyst writing technical documentation and proving/disproving the value /benefit of technical upgrades or configuration changes

  • 1-3 years of experience developing test plans and executing/tracking test results

  • Has technical understanding of HR Information Systems (HRIS); proficient knowledge of one or more C&S HR applications

  • Demonstrates analytical skills and ability to use the results to make recommendations regarding configuration changes

  • Demonstrates strong documentation skills, through the creation of intelligible written presentations that contain in-depth technical content

  • Delivers calm and confident presentations of technology solutions to peers, management, and executives; tailors the message to the audience and drives for clear decision making

  • Discretion when working with sensitive data such as compensation or employee personal data

  • Leads others in analytical exercises; explores ideas and identifies clear pros and cons of any proposed solution; does so in a way that encourages participation and creative thinking

  • Creates clear cost/benefit analyses that include both hard and soft costs, as well as tangible and intangible benefits

  • Strong organizational / presentation skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products

  • Has strong attention to detail; clarifies ambiguity and can separate details into clear requirements and/or permutations for testing
