Position Overview

As a HR Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing business requirements and then writing a matching set of technical system requirements in the form of written specs combined with supporting documents such as mockups, charts, and graphs derived from in-depth data queries. After promoting and collecting approvals, the analyst designs test cases to support the proposed configuration changes, and then manages all related testing and change control efforts

  • Has technical understanding of HR Information Systems

  • Proficient knowledge of one or more Workday modules.

  • Conduct research and develop technical documentation to support system design change recommendations

  • Develop test plans and execute testing of planned system changes

  • Participate in day to day system configuration and technical support escalations, as both a supplement to the user's knowledge and as a backup to the System Administrator

  • Reviews frequent technical support requests and/or exception reports to proactively identify areas of process improvement

  • Creates and maintains technical documentation for the HR Technology Department

  • Participate in / Receive technical training from vendors, IT, and participate in C&S delivered core skills training

Skills

  • Strong organizational / presentation skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products

  • Has strong attention to detail; takes responsibility for identifying all technical requirements and permutations for testing; has an eye for data anomalies

  • Writes queries (reports) and assists end users with applying them to transform data to information, information to knowledge

  • Discretion when working with sensitive data such as compensation or employee personal data

Years Of Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in at least 1 Workday module.

  • 1-3 years of experience as an HR or IT systems analyst writing technical documentation, managing configurations, or analyzing data

  • 1-3 years of experience developing test plans and executing/tracking test results
