Position Overview

As an Intern, Financial Analysis you will learn about and contribute to various areas of Operations Finance at C&S. The primary area of focus will be developing operational pro formas to support potential new customer and network realignment projects. You will also have the opportunity to learn about additional areas of Operations Finance such as the warehouse and transportation accounting functions as well as the various logistics programs that the team manages.

Operations Finance is a group of professionals who pursue excellence in financial accounting, reporting, and analytics in efforts to provide value added, reliable information to our internal and external customers. The information we collect and provide to our customers allows them to clearly understand operational results and their performance in order to make educated decisions regarding current and future challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Pro Formas / Costing Analyses

  • New business analyses

  • Network realignments

  • Ad Hoc Financial Reporting

  • Management of White Rose allocation model

  • Update warehouse independent model

  • Update transportation zone model

  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as necessary

  • Develop technical, time management, presentation, leadership and relationship building skills

  • Integrity and commitment to excellence

  • Gain exposure and knowledge on the department functionalities

  • Provide feedback for process improvement

  • Complete various projects and daily responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, and/or Supply Chain areas of study

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality when required

  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills with good attention to detail

  • Eagerness to learn and accept challenges

  • Strong personality and the ability to influence all levels of the operation
