The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing short and long-term programs to maximize Sales and Profitability for C&S’ Independent Retailers. Partners heavily with the Marketing & Advertising Director, field sales and the cross-functional teams to develop effective programs that support the Company’s Values and Strategic Objectives
Manages National Omnichannel Marketing Program to include acting as liaison between C&S Merchandising staff and Marketing Team as well as vendor program providers
Works closely with Director of Marketing and Advertising to create and manage programs that incent consumers to shop our customers’ stores
Assesses retail services programs on a national basis in order to formulate a strategy for growth and innovation
Maintains a strategic relationship with key vendor partner stakeholders and retailers to assess needs and apply insights to future program development
Partners with Merchandising department to integrate CPG vendor funding into applicable programs
Attends or coordinates sales presentations for customer group meetings and marketing materials for Vendors and Retailers
Attends national industry events to learn about emerging trends
Works with C&S regions on Food Show strategies and vendor attendance and coordinates Retail Marketing Services presence at all food shows and expos
Partners with Legal department on all new contracts and contracts extensions/amendments and maintains records to ensure compliance
Manages Marketing P&L to ensure expected incomes and expenses for each contract are accurately reflected by division
Oversees billing and customer credits are processed on a timely basis
Has accountability for the performance and results of a team within own discipline for function. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from senior leader ; Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related degree; or equivalent experience
3-5 years in retail grocery and/or application support/training
Computers, Microsoft Office, Retail grocery applications
