Job Description Summary
To manage Facilities projects with responsibilities encompassing construction, facilities improvements, equipment replacement, MHE, refrigeration, HVAC, EHS compliance, electrical systems, fire protection, roofing, paving, automation, and other responsibilities assigned by reporting manager. All projects will include responsibilities for developing, managing, and maintaining project plan, scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, communications, procurements, costs, and risks.
One of C&S key strategies is to provide operational excellence through sustaining facilities infrastructure, delivering cost efficiencies, and bringing automation technologies to warehouses. This role would be filled to support Facilities project management needs in Mid-Atlantic regions.
Design & Compliance Management ... Coordinate and manage the activities of design professionals to achieve project objectives. Conduct technical/plan review of design documents and submit written responses identifying required corrections and changes. Plan view may include: ensuring all plans conform to building standard construction details and requirements; GC and architect follow the published building rules and regulations regarding the base building architectural, HVAC, fire/life safety and structural systems. Ensure compliance of building construction rules and regulations and collaborate with chief engineers to monitor quality of construction. Coordinate and manage local, state, and federal documentation as required by projects.
Scope, Cost, & Schedule Management ... Clearly define scope. Assure project team adheres to working within the approved scope. Develop and maintain a project timeline, an issues log, a change log, and an action tracker. Coordinate activities from start to end. Any significant change to schedule is clearly tracked and communicated to the Sponsor. Provide budgetary project estimates. Develop and maintain a cost tracker. Ensure project meets the approved budget. Any overage is clearly tracked and communicated to the Sponsor. Ensure timely payments to vendors. Any significant change to scope, schedule, & cost is clearly tracked and communicated to the Sponsor.
Procurement Management ... Administer the general construction process including solicitation of contractor's qualifications (pre-qualify bidders), comparative analysis of bid packages, recommendation for contract award, contract document negotiation, AIA contract preparation, and documentation of change orders.
Stakeholder Management ... Identify stakeholders. Plan, manage, and control stakeholders. Understand internal customer activities. Provide on-site management and coordination of activities to minimize negative impact of project on daily operations. Develop and maintain productive relationships with all outsourced support entities including: architectural and engineering consultants, construction management organizations, and supply chain vendors necessary to produce required project results with the project schedule and budget.
Communications Management ... Provide clear, timely, and routine communication with team, stakeholders, management, contractors, and customers (as required). Setup weekly or bi-weekly (as appropriate) check-in meetings with the project team.
Quality & Risks Management ... Identify and manage risks throughout the project. Ensure results delivered by the project meets quality requirements of the customer (internal & external). Perform facility inspections for each of the following disciplines (as required): general building conditions, building infrastructure, building sanitation, safe operations, site conditions, lighting, fire suppressant, roofing, HVAC, and paving. Conduct commissioning, qualification, and verification activities as required. Maintain a Risk Register and a Lessons Learned log.

Education:Minimum a BS in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent combination of formal training related experience in construction management or project management.
Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years in construction, engineering, asset management, supply chain, operations, or other applicable field. Experience in construction management is preferred.
Software Knowledge:Extensive MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience.
