Position Overview
Lead the accounting, analysis and review of “vendor incentives” (a particular type of vendor discount, which contributes to the “Gross Margin” section of the C&S P&L) with procurement business partners. Execute GAAP compliant accounting and controls for incentives and provide support to business partners in budget development and management.

Coordinate with Procurement business partners, provide historical data and future projections to assist in development of incentives budgets and forecasts, by division and product line
Provide final budgets and forecasts to Weekly P&L team
Prepare mid-period and post audit projections and analysis for Procurement partners
Coordinate the preparation of monthly, and quarterly incentives reporting and analysis by vendor
Review weekly accrual entries estimating weekly vendor incentives for accuracy and reasonableness
Perform variance analysis to confirm accruals are correct
Lead research of variances between accruals and actual receivables
Perform analysis to identify primary drivers of discrepancies and communicate to Procurement
Account for incentives activity by product lines and division, produce trending analysis to support Procurement
Review journal entries to accurately reflect activity for the period including monthly and quarterly incentives receivable
Analyze assigned P&L and Balance Sheet accounts to ensure reasonableness and accuracy
Review incentive billings by vendor with procurement team to ensure accuracy
Prepare ad hoc analysis for Procurement as required
Prepare incentives balance sheet reconciliations and propose appropriate adjusting journal entries
Ensure procedures and controls are adhered to and comply with accounting policies
Document all procedures
Ensure GAAP accounting principles are applied
Assist with onboarding/training new staff accountants
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field required
Minimum of two years of applicable experience, including understanding key accounting principles
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems and software (e.g. GL package, Financial reporting system) preferred
