Position Overview

The Sr. Analyst, Business Insights, will be responsible for collecting, vetting, and interpreting competitive intelligence from internal and external resources.This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining a web based tool to house competitive data & intel, by demographic location, which allows the pricing tied accordingly with the market factors.The Sr. Analyst, Business Insights role will work cross functionally partnering with Corporate Development, New Business Development, and Contract Compliance on new customer contracts and renewal recommendations to achieve set profitability targets by customer type, demographic, and assumed competitive bids analysis. The position's focus will be in Strategy which will include understanding market trends and building new sell plan programs that allow the company to service all types of customers in the Grocery industry. This role will play a critical part among the Strategic Pricing organization to proactively create the tools necessary to achieve profitability thresholds and widen the scope of customers.

  • Research and collect intel from internal and external sources

  • Create a web based tool to house competitive intel and recommend pricing based on store demographic location and competitive environment

  • Analyze sell plans and profitability of current customer base by region and make recommendation to achieve profitability thresholds

  • Translate financial analysis into actionable plans for the commercial sales organization

  • Adapt and enhance the pricing strategy to deliver the expected competitive positioning while achieving budget goals

  • Develop, implement and continuously pursue innovative concepts and strategies that bring added depth and breadth to corporate business strategies for driving improvement in customer value perception

  • Provide guidance on, identify, and share best practices to increase sales and maximize profitability

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional areas of the company to understand needs of the organization

  • Specialized Knowledge : Strong understanding of the CPG, wholesale or retail industry; In-depth knowledge of the functional strategies, business strategies and company goals required to function in a sales or related role; High-level technical expertise, financial acumen, business and industry knowledge
