As a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Commercial Finance team, you will assist in the business support function for assigned region(s) or business units, including planning, reporting and analysis, ensuring adherence to consistent processes. Partner with Region/Business groups' business partners in order to fully understand performance and optimize strategic & tactical decision making throughout the P&L. Based on analysis and business acumen, provide recommendations for improvement of process and profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
% of Time Spent
• Partner with assigned region or business units to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for a) Sales & b) P&L through EBITDA, including:
Work with Financial Planning & Analysis to determine timeline and requirements
Prepare budget and forecast templates ahead of plan, ensure Region/business groups personnel understand requirements and assumptions
Assist in process to ensure completion of templates by Region/business groups; prepopulate and review with them for business rationale
Lead deployment of required plan changes and provide analyses of final budget/FC
Ensure Hyperion planning and reporting environments are correct
Assist in the ongoing assessment of template/dependencies for the region/group planning process, implement and communicate changes
• Prepare and present recurring and ad hoc analysis to region/group leadership detailing performance versus targets and prior year. Provide timely insights to key variance drivers and the implications to delivering targets/objectives. Ensure business partners fully understand P&L representation of results.
• Lead discussions on content and frequency of analysis, including KPI’s to provide best basis for decision making. Identify opportunities and assist in preparation of supporting analytics for strategic Commercial Finance projects
• Provide business partnership to assigned regions or business units
Ensure frequent points of contact with Region/group team throughout levels of the organization
Ensure finance team has full business understanding
Take lead in building finance capabilities of business partners through training & education
• Liaise with general accounting to ensure correct representation of Region/Groups
Assist in optimization of processes
Assist manager in execution of consistent processes and activities across regions, and foster best practices
Assist in the development and execution of effective and sustainable controls for Commercial activities, including
Ensure appropriate segregation of duties
Carry out ongoing assessment of controls effectiveness and compliance
Assist in the assessment of Hyperion (financial reporting and planning) system usage ongoing in order to automate and standardize tasks, and optimize associated processes
Ensure financial systems deliver reporting, analysis requirements of Commercial finance group and its customers
Play a lead role in process to identify, develop & implement changes as necessary
Your selection will be based on working more than 50% of the time in that environment

Tasks are non-sequential, performed in parallel, and in services to event, schedule, or project timelines. Work is sometimes standardized and sometimes non-standardized. There is no responsibility for budget, revenue, and/or expenditures, or for resolving ambiguous or newly emerging issues. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction with occasional checks while work is in progress. Work is reviewed upon completion.
Years of Experience
5-7 applicable experience, including understanding key accounting principles
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems and software (e.g. GL package, Financial reporting system) preferred
•Working knowledge and/or experience in discipline • Ability to build knowledge of organization, processes and customers •Willingness to be flexible, comfortable with ambiguity •Strong communication skills, including professional verbal and written communication skills • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications •Strong proficiency with Excel preferred •Experience with SQL preferred •Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize• Ability to gather data, determine requirements and conduct analysis
