As the Senior Sales Planning and Forecasting Administrator you will support the Independent Sales team with all sales-driving initiatives and help the Sales leaders make sound data-driven decisions. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Independent Sales Planning and working closely with the Senior Vice President, Sr. Directors and Directors in the Independent Sales group, the incumbent will leverage consumer trends, retailer insights and competitive market analysis to help drive strategy and data-driven decisions to ensure execution of our sales initiatives. As a Sr Sales Planning Administrator, this position will be key to the success of the SGP Pillar Win with the Independents driving strategic projects across all regions and retail programs.
The Sr Sales Planning Administrator will oversee and monitor sales performance, track SGP results, Sales Funnel, and other sales trend analysis that support accurate budgeting throughout the year. We expect this individual to implement improvements in the sales administration process to support the department’s sales initiatives, while overseeing all Independent Sales Administration tasks.
Collaborate across Regions and with cross-functional teams coordinating projects to meet deadlines with excellent communication skills and enjoys working in a team environment.
Act as the General Business Manager being the liaison between AR/Finance/Corporate Development/Legal & Customer on issue resolution by assisting with Supply Agreement (existing and new) reviews for existing customer, coordinating contract compliance with the Finance team and working on cross-functional issue resolutions as they arise and organizing the team through the administration of meetings/conference calls; directing the team to critical customer issue resolution by being the main contact point.
Administer the creation and maintenance of the Customer Executive Summaries, Business Reviews, Customer Calendar, Competitive SWOT Analysis, Market News and Consumer Trend Data, and score carding actions and performance following Business Review meetings, with the end goal to Continually Elevate the Customer Experience .
Project Manager and liaison for the SGP workstreams to achieving the company’s Win with the Independents strategic objectives and expected growth targets being an active owner of updating progression in the WorkOtter system. Act as the Business Projects owner to drive Sales Initiatives on behalf of the Sales Directors and RAMS.
Manage Sales and Overhead Variance and Opportunity Analysis: In addition to coordinating the annual Sales budgeting and OH process, with Finance and Sales, with the support of the team, and liaising with Finance, the Sr Sales Planning Administrator will manage the deep dive analysis behind actual P&L & OH variances and adherence to the department’s goal of expense reduction. Develop insight and reporting to grow sales by department and C&S GL. Show sales opportunities by customer, make recommendations on closing gaps and support the implementation of the identified opportunity.
Administer Sales Calibration Planning Sessions with the Sales Directors setting up regional planning meetings with Sales leads to ensure the teams are working on the established sales driving initiatives as well as facilitating an ongoing process of developing and identifying new opportunities.
Impact sales-driving communications across the Independent Sales teams and Other Sales Support functions including but not limited to monitoring and processing participation of C&S trade association and customer outings/events, managing, developing and mentoring summer interns and BA’s performing sales rotation in sales department, etc.
Bachelor Degree preferred
3 to 5 years retail and wholesale food experience
Analytical background, knowledge of the food retailer, and process improvement skills
Proficient in Excel. Knowledge of Hyperion, OBIEE, Oracle
Results-oriented; strong written and oral communication skills; strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate, influence, negotiate and interact with all management levels.
