The Transportation Rep III coordinates and executes timely tendering of freight while managing capacities and on time pick up/delivery with a focus on revenue and expense. This position requires development and maintenance of strong working relationships with manufacturers, buyers, carriers and dispatchers, as well as internal teams.
Review vendor invoices to determine if appropriate allowances have been provided and make corrective adjustments as needed.
Research and resolve deductions being disputed by vendors.
Analyze reporting to proactively address trends and issues, as well as assisting in compilation of ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Evaluate and modify current processes as necessary.
Report receiving exceptions to vendors, assist in mitigation of rejected loads, act as point of contact for catastrophic events, and completion of claims against carriers when warranted.
Facilitate communication and build strong working relationships with the warehouse, carriers, merchandising, procurement, inventory control, and accounts payable.
Maintain data integrity of customer pick up allowances, update fuel surcharges in system, and other tasks as assigned.
Ability to analyze and interpret data in order to resolve issues.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; especially Excel.
Ability to work efficiently and prioritize in a fast paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent, experience in finance and/or logistics preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
