Position Overview

The primary focus of the Manager of Enterprise Systems is overall management and support of all technical services functions associated with the Server and SAN storage platforms throughout the C&S Wholesale Grocers enterprise. This role provides leadership and mentoring for the distributed server technology team and collaborates with others as required to achieve operational and organizational goals. Operational expectations include but are not limited to the technical stewardship in the areas of research and development, technical implementations, infrastructure support and escalation, systems and policy documentation, supporting security and compliance processes, project management, and leveraging third party services when appropriate. Additionally, this role is expected to seek opportunities to develop, and promote innovation within the Enterprise Systems team and entire IT group.

Description

  • Responsible for the daily support, management, direction, and workload of the Enterprise Systems team.

  • Create, manage and track team projects.

  • Develop and champion incident management, change management, documentation standards and levels of service standards and operating policies/procedures and close any gaps in the existing documentation of the infrastructure.

  • Provide reporting and overall team performance to IT management to include: support incidents, project health, velocity resource allocation, staffing, operational reporting by practice areas on support investment such as average queue depth, incident and request resolution times, and system capacity.

  • Organize after-hours or weekend required maintenance efforts.

  • Recommend, direct and facilitate action between the C&S Information Security Office (ISO) and the Enterprise Server Team, including stewardship of the finding's lifecycle.

Skills

  • Specialized Knowledge : In-depth design, implementation, engineering and troubleshooting experience of: Windows/Unix/Linux/VMware Servers, IBM/Dell/HPe/Cisco sever hardware, Cisco/Brocade SAN switches, IBM/EMC/PureStorage/NetApp SAN storage arrays, HyperConverged solutions like Cisco HyperFlex, HPe Simplivity, Nutanix etc., Commvault Simpana and Cohesity Backup solution, MS Exchange, Email Security devices like Proofpoint, IronPort etc., Citrix 6.5/7.x, IBM PowerVM, and Antivirus solutions such as Cylance, Sophos etc.•Problem and Change Management Experienced with incident and issue tracking systems and service Delivery platforms such as Jira, AutoTask or Service Now. • Monitoring solutions such as Solarwinds, NMON or other monitoring systems. • High degree of competency in technical areas such as: Networking Protocols/Services, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, Systems security management, and Virtualization Technologies. • Experienced in managing MACs (moves, adds, changes) to existing hardware and software, diagnosing complex server issues and working with other team members to diagnose issues with integrated systems. Experience in working with Network, Database, Middleware and other application teams.

  • Special Skills : Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel. • Demonstrable ability to develop consensus and effectively collaborate with team members and IT management.

  • 7-10 : Experience in support and implementation role in large heterogeneous enterprise servers and SAN storage infrastructure. Experience in leadership, support & implementation roles.
