As a Retail Pricing Analyst , you will be responsible for establishing, implementing and monitoring retail pricing strategies and services that will better position region retailers to maximize gross profits and competitiveness. These responsibilities include providing C&S price management expertise to the Independent Retailers, Retail Account Managers, and the Category Management Team.
Recommend and implement store specific pricing to maintain gross profit and competitiveness.
Monitor the data feeds and output retails to ensure the desired retails are achieved with the set up. Monitor competitive data for completeness, data accuracy/integrity and significant shifts in competitive pricing postures and recommend appropriate response.
Evaluation of store specific pricing and implementation of pricing optimization solutions.
Participate in the implementation of new store setups and validate accuracy of setup once project completed. If an existing store, examine and evaluate the current pricing structure and reporting needs to identify gaps and opportunities.
Perform store reviews to make sure they are achieving desired Gross Margin (GM). Create ad hoc reports for stores to provide them with the current status of their retail pricing. Provide suggestions of available strategies to obtain the desired GM.
Analyze Independent retailer supplied private label gap to national brands. Identify cost of goods problems which would ultimately affect the retail and gross profit of the item as it compares to the national brand.
Validate the integrity of the data supplied in and out of Power HQ (PHQ) to include pack, unit of measure (UOM), size, Universal Product Code (UPC), costs, Banner Item Authorization (BIA), reports, outputs, tags, and retails.
Implementing PHQ pricing software which includes initial training and ongoing training to optimize the software performance. Share findings of best practices with team via weekly team meetings.
Ensure retails are produced based off strategies are set up in PHQ.
Evaluate items to make sure they are assigned to the correct category and/or create other categories to move items to ensure the correct GM is given to the retailer

Associates degree or relevant experience
Three to Five (3-5) years related experience /or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
General understanding of store operating procedures with regard to pricing procedures, practices and maintenance
Ability to develop, coordinate and implement pricing that is targeted, realistic and effective in meeting retailer's gross profit objectives
Strong communication and analytical skills
Strong computer skills required and a working proficiency with related pricing software packages and MS Office Suite
