Position Overview

Schedule: 6PM-6:30AM, 4 nights a week

Pay: $24-$30

Automation Technicians will be responsible to maintain, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance to the facilities Automation Systems consisting of following:

HK Storage and Retrieval Machines

Chain Driven Live Roller Conveyors

Drag-Chain Conveyors

Thru/In–Frame Drag-Chain Transfers

Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors

ACP Robotics and Automated Tray System

Job Description

  • To maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying system components (ie. gearbox exchanges, alignment of structural parts, root cause failure analysis)

  • To troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and components and return to serviceability

  • To perform scheduled preventive maintenance actions on all subsystems and related components

  • To assist other maintenance team members with duties/repairs of equipment consistent with level of experience and training

  • Strong knowledge of Industrial Power 3 Phase 480V and industry accepted electrical safety practices for testing energized circuits.

  • Working understanding of PLC’s and VFD controlled Machinery.

  • Proficient in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical components.

  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.

  • Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment--must have and maintain all hand and test tools required to maintain automated equipment.

  • Must be able to work at heights up to 110 ft.

  • Able to access assets in the structure using ladders (ladder weight limit 300 lbs)

  • Computer proficient--Microsoft Windows based computer operation.

  • Experience welding with stick or MIG a plus.

  • Knowledge of ABB/SEW drive technology a plus.
